Welcome to Kidsville-Child Care Council of Buchanan County! Our staff of warm, caring, professional child care providers maintain a positive and stimulating atmosphere where your child is loved and respected. Kidsville was established in 1977 as a non-profit corporation, providing care for children two weeks old to age twelve.  Kidsville is located in Independence, Iowa on the Independence Community School grounds next to East Elementary school. We have a wonderful facility designed especially for young children. Kidsville is a community center collaborating with the Area Educational Agency, Iowa State University Extension, Head Start, the Volunteer Coop, Child Care Resource and Referral, BDF Empowerment, community colleges and the Independence School District to provide early childhood services for our families. Our Kidsville children and families are very important to us.

The Kidsville Mission

The Kidsville Early Learning Center provides quality child care in a safe, nurturing, environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectural development of young children so they can become lifelong learners.
